You Are:
We are looking for a full-time Family Services Coordinator to help implement our supportive family programs.
Your primary role will be assisting the Family Services Director in family engagement and support with a focus on recruitment, enrollment, authorizations, and family record maintenance. You will also coordinate family events and partner relations.
You will develop relationships with every child, family, and team member and play an important role at Mainspring. Good things happen here every day, so if you are inspired by the mission and want to feel challenged and fulfilled by your job, we hope you’ll be part of the team.
We are looking for someone who:
Will work cooperatively and closely with colleagues
Is organized
Is both task- and process-oriented
Has significant administrative skills
Has experience serving children and families from diverse backgrounds
Is self-sufficient and thrives with minimal oversight
Has conflict resolution skills and the ability to manage high-stress conversations
Has a Bachelor’s degree or higher
Has knowledge of poverty and its systemic effects on families
Has experience with Head Start or Early Head Start (not required, though)
Is available 40 hours a week
Is willing to complete an FBI background check
Is willing to pitch in everywhere, no matter the task
In this job, you would:
Lead recruitment, enrollment, and authorization efforts
Lead family record keeping, which includes monitoring, collecting, and sharing financial, health, and referral documentation
Lead authorization efforts for tuition and related school funding
Interact with families and complete administrative tasks related to enrollment and funding
Assist Family Services Director with family-related case management tasks
Coordinate community-building family events
Support Family Services Director at parenting events
Communicate with parents when parent/teacher concerns arise
Function as floating teacher in the classrooms on rare occasions
Report to the Family Services Director
