Substitute Teacher
Working in early childhood education is a rewarding experience that I completely love! I am excited to have the opportunity to help guide children to grow and develop into confident, self-sufficient learners.
Assistant Teacher, Songbirds Classroom
This is more than just a job to me, it is an opportunity of a lifetime. As soon as you walk in the door, you can truly sense how we are a school family by the warm and inviting environment. My passion has always been working with children, being a stepping stone in their educational journey, supporting them in expressing themselves creatively, and assisting them in finding their voices. I am very grateful for the chance to work with our Shining Stars. Watching the children’s growth and excitement about education is truly a gift!
Co-Lead Teacher, Bluebonnets Classroom
Working with children has always been a passion of mine, so when I was offered the opportunity to work with a diverse and loving community, I took it without hesitation. Even after all these years, I still learn new and wonderful things from the children as well as the great staff. I couldn't imagine working anywhere else but Mainspring!
Lead Teacher, Songbirds Classroom
After working with children in various school settings, I feel very fortunate to be part of a school that fosters children’s curiosity and creativity. Mainspring allows me to be part of a school that focuses on providing a holistic learning experience to each student. I look forward to each new day with the opportunity to support students growth and guide them on a path to success.
Co-Lead Teacher, Tadpoles Classroom
From the first day, I felt so welcomed at Mainspring by the children, families, and staff. I love the diversity that Mainspring brings and the positive atmosphere all around! The relationships I have established with these children are extremely rewarding, and I hope to make a significant impact in their overall development.
Co-Lead Teacher, Dewdrops Classroom
I began as a substitute teacher and fell in love with Mainspring. That's when I decided to become a full-time caregiver to this diverse community. I'm also now a parent and my son is being well taken care of and taught new things by wonderful teachers here at Mainspring. I'm so happy and comfortable with my son's care that I can give all my attention to my babies in class.
Assistant Teacher, Mockingbirds Classroom
I am thankful to be a part of the Mainspring family. Mainspring instills its core values daily to each child, parent and staff. I knew right away this is the perfect fit for me and my child! I am forever grateful for the support and the opportunity to teach even small acts of kindness to our children.
Floating Teacher
I began as an aunt, bringing my niece to Mainspring. Then I was a mom with two sons at school. Now, as part of the team, I get to watch all of our children’s beautiful minds expand and I get to share those exciting “did you see that?” moments with each of our teachers.
Co-Lead Teacher, Bluebonnets Classroom
I enjoy working with children. Every day is different, full of new opportunities to learn and do something new. Working with children, you get to see and enjoy their growth.
Literacy & Innovation Coach
I have a passion for literacy and bringing books to life. Building a foundation for future readers is very rewarding for me. More than anything, I love the mission of our school. There is a high level of social conscience reflected by all of the staff, day in and day out. I have never worked at a school like Mainspring that honors the growth of each child and the very important role of families. The school’s commitment to children, families, and staff makes a big difference in their lives, the community, and in Austin.
Assistant Teacher, Shining Stars Classroom
Children’s development is something I have always been interested in, and I have learned so much from being at Mainspring. The love and support within the community here is incredible, and I am thankful that I get the opportunity to be a part of it.

ADMINISTRATION
Kitchen Manager
Good nutrition habits that are formed early help establish a foundation for a kiddo's future as a strong, healthy and happy adult. After working on reshaping adult's eating habits for the past 7 years, I'm excited for the opportunity to provide Mainspring students with meals created to boost their brain power and fuel their growth.
Facilities Manager
“Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire.”
― W.B. Yeats
Education Specialist
I enjoy working at Mainspring because it allows the freedom to creatively express and explore the children’s interests, passions, and imaginations through art and play.
Family Services Specialist
During my own parenting adventure, I have discovered just how much support is needed to be able to be the best parent you can be and to provide a solid foundation for your child to build their future upon. I am so grateful to be a part of that support for our Mainspring families. Here, it's not just child care, it's whole-family care.
Family Services Director
My educational background is in developmental psychology and social work. Since 2012, my focus has been on improving the well-being of children and families around the globe, and it’s my honor to join this community to serve as an ally of our families’ diversified needs. There is one important constant in my life: seeing the world through an early education equity lens. I firmly believe that a good quality early education is the key to adult success, and parents and school members must work together to achieve this mission!
School Coordinator
Mainspring, to me, is like home away from home. I enjoy being a part of the children’s everyday life-learning experiences.
Executive Director
When I saw Mainspring's wide open playground, creative and nutritious whole food menu, and commitment to arts and science, I knew immediately that I wanted my children to be a part of the community. I started off as a parent here before joining the staff in 2017. It is a gift to work with educators who are so deeply invested in the lives of children and families to see our impact every day.
School Director
I love the creative environment that Mainspring bolsters, not only for the children, but also for the teachers in our program. Children at these ages are so wonderfully curious about the world they live in; I'm glad I get the chance to experience the discovery and amazement they find out there.
Family Services Coordinator
I attended Mainspring when it was Austin Community Nursery School. I am a mother of five, and three of my children have also attended Mainspring. I consider this place home! I'm so grateful to be around such amazing people.

Lead Teacher, Mockingbirds Classroom
When I walked into Mainspring for the first time, I was overwhelmed by the sense of community that I felt. I love working with kiddos because they are constantly curious about life and the world around them. Each day I am able to learn and grow alongside my children. Their silly stories and belly laughs help fill the Mockingbird classroom with so much love and joy.
